Competitions & Festivals

Each November, students from high schools in four states participate in workshops and rehearsals for three days prior to a grand finale concert.

This year, the 67th Annual Augustana Band Festival will take place on Nov. 8-9, 2024.

This Augustana High School Art Invitational is open to area high school artists who are recommended by their teachers.

The J. Earl Lee Piano Festival is a 3-day bi-annual celebration of the piano, which takes place in the Fryxell Humanities Center on the Augustana University campus. Each day presents unique opportunities for learning, listening and participation for music teachers and piano students.

As many as 50 high school bands from throughout the region participate in this annual festival.
